TransPagan Issues in Papyrus

Fears, attitudes and other issues from the Burning Times

Most Pagans, and almost all Pagan groups have to deal with issues arising from the the Burning Times. Whether these issues involve memories of or empathies with the victims of that time, a time when the Christian church determined that it's hegemony over Western Civilization was complete enough to feel free to have all dissidents murdered (basically the "heart" of the dark ages), they are a force to contend with. The estimates of the total number of victims vary, from below a hundred thousand to over nine million. And of course many of the targets of these Christian sponsered assaults were simply old, often senile, usually female persons who had something the church fathers wanted: land, gold and/or whatnot, so the total numbers of actual practitionors who went down may never be known.

But enough digression. The current issue that the Pagan community is dealing with is with fears, attitudes and other issues among members. Some may remember being burned in a previous life, and be afraid of exposure in this one.
