Garden of Life N'ta & Foci

The term (of Ægyptian extraction) is used within the Temple to refer to anything (for example: Spoken Word, Chants, Songs, Symbols, Circle Patterns, Celebratory Ritual Synopsi Patternings, Stories, Forms and/or Techniques) which has become considered Sacred to our Tradition. Although we in no way feel restricted to using that which we have used before, at Garden of Life Workings, Celebrations, Circles, Functions and/or Events, it has been felt that there is benefit in keeping together a body of work including records of various component parts of our Celebrations. It seems of particular benefit to assemble a Codex of those that have been especially effective for our Celebrants in some specific manner or another. Within the planning stages of any Work, encompassing and/or including specific archetypes, many components may be created each time from scratch, but often we will also incorporate components from previous Works that had a high degree of resonance with our Celebrants. These components are characterized as Garden of Life . Such characterization ordinarily results from the favorable consensus of opinion among Individual Members of Garden of Life being so strong as to verge on unanimous. This consensus of opinion is acted upon by the Council of Elder Officiants by the addition of such items to the Garden of Life Codex. Some of the Celebratory and/or Spiritual components so designated are original creations of the Temple. Others are rooted in the methods of those who have gone before. Foci is the plural of Focus, in this case referring to any of the various systems, processes, actions and/or items which are used to focus Spiritual and/or Metaphysical Energies and which ordinarily aide in the Manifestation of such Energies into the Consensus Reality which New Aeon Humans inhabit. There are many types of Foci, one type is the various articles used in Ritual Celebration.

From a different angle or aspect, the concept of Frame of Reference also comes into play. Frame of Reference sometimes indicates the utilization of various Foci, but specifically and emphatically includes the mental state precursors which allow an individual to benefit from such utilization in perhaps a more indirect, yet extremely fundamental manner.
