Mortar and Pestle - When the term Mortar and Pestle is used in reference to Magickal Implements, Sacred Objects, Ceremonial Tools and/or Foci it generally refers to a bowl shaped vessel made of a hard substance (the Mortar), and a rod like implement with a rounded head embedded with harder pieces (the Pestle) which may be used to grind substances in the Mortar in a rotating motion. The set is often specifically made for general or particular Magickal Working, and/or consecrated to the same.
