Я̅ℎ⃥āä (nomenclature vulgaris: Jupiter) (Local Star System Component)
Я̅ℎ⃥āä is the name used in Garden of Life Astrological Terminology for the component of our local star system, referred to as "Jupiter" in the Western mainstream vernacular. Garden of Life uses either terms from the earlier Ægean languages or words constructed from root words in those languages for all components of the Cosmos, or at least for those of the local Universe; partially due to a feeling that the earlier terms represent a more exact and purer resonance with the named object, force, and/or field, than the Latinate term commonly used (theory of deterioration of quality in a copy of a copy of a copy, etc.); and partially because, though we sometimes use, within the Temple, terms for these components derived from Ægyptian culture, and in some cases Sanatana Dharma and Sanskrit, and/or other ancient sources, those seemed a bit "over the top" for daily use (but we never can tell). Also there was a desire to rebalance the Feminine and Masculine Energies in the naming of the Planets and other components of the local star system.

Я̅ℎ⃥āä (day of the Week)
In the Garden of Life Temple Calendar, the Year, being the Year of the Lady, begins, as it always has, on the Vernal Equinox. Each month is named according to the name of the Astrological Sign and begins when the Sun enters that Sign. The Seven Day Week is used though with different names for the days of the Week. Я̅ℎ⃥āä is equivalent to the day referred to as "Wednesday" in the Western mainstream vernacular. The sequence: ḠāēäH̅ēℓ' ℓ ēōs̄, Âʀ̄ṭĭṃĭṡS̅ŭℓēṇH̅êк̣'к̄ŭt̄ā, H̅ēя̇'m̃ēżÆθēñä, Я̅ℎ⃥āä, Åя̄ēżÅя̇ōs̄, Åṗ'f̅я̄ōīṭē, Īäк̣'к̄ōṡК̅я̄ōñōs̄, corresponds to: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday.

Remembransor
A Remembrancor when considered in an Officiant context, is an Officiant who remembers, studies, researches, distills and is able to create stories for storytelling from the history of the group. The stories are not necessarily limited to the context of the group, and may also include any other content, though usually from the point of view of the particular tradition. Such Storytelling may be incorporated into Werkings or may occur spontaneously or planned at any group gathering, or in a one-to-one venue. The Remembrancors of a group also have responsibility for making provision for the recording of such stories for later use.

Rose Recension Correspondences Codex
Begun in the early 1970s e.v. as a project to build a Pagan Table of Correspondences that would be of more benefit to practitionors of Earth-Focal Traditions, unencumbered by a framework drawn from Abramic Traditions, the Rose Recension Correspondences Codex has been worked on, off and on, by a variable number of members and persons associated with Garden of Life. Starting in 1999 e.v. it has been worked on in a much more assiduous way.

Rose Recension of Negative Confessions
Originally composed over an eighteen month period in Year of the Lady 11366 through 11367 (parts of 1999-2001e.v.), for the first Croning performed for Garden of Life in this incarnation. The Garden of Life Rose Recension of the Negative Confessions (also one of the key components of the Rose Recension Correspondences Codex) is an expansion of the concept originally codified in the Ægytian Religious forms and techniquies, and retains many of the formulaic attributes of the originals, expanded to 118 couplets, addressed to 118 Deity Forms, on 118 subjects matched to 108 Archetypal forms.

Special Note: Garden of Life uses a large number of specially purposed English words, often spelled slightly differently than regular, to make their more specific meaning more apparent. We also use a large number of neologisms, specifically constructed for Temple use. All of this type of terminology is defined in several places on the website, here in the Articles of Organization glossary, in the Garden of Life website Definitions pages, and such. If you are viewing this page in a browser which doesn't support full current Unicode coding (such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer - though version 8 is almost there) or if you haven't installed current free Unicode fonts, such as Code2000, many of the phonetic characters, diacritical marks, and symbols in these pages will not show up or will show up as boxes. We welcome all feedback, though as an entirely volunteer supported website, we do not guarantee to process it within any time frame or for other than for ascertainable accuracy and usefulness. Thanks.
