S̅ĕдñä (nomenclature vulgaris: Sedna) (Local Star System Component)
S̅ĕдñä is the name used in Garden of Life Astrological Terminology for the component of our local star system (Planet, Dwarf Planet, or whatnot), referred to as "Sedna" in the Western mainstream vernacular. Garden of Life uses either terms from the earlier Ægean languages or words constructed from root words in those languages for all components of the Cosmos, or at least for those of the local Universe; partially due to a feeling that the earlier terms represent a more exact and purer resonance with the named object, force, and/or field, than the Latinate term commonly used (theory of deterioration of quality in a copy of a copy of a copy, etc.); and partially because, though we sometimes use, within the Temple, terms for these components derived from Ægyptian culture, and in some cases Sanatana Dharma and Sanskrit, and/or other ancient sources, those seemed a bit "over the top" for daily use (but we never can tell). Also there was a desire to rebalance the Feminine and Masculine Energies in the naming of the Planets and other components of the local star system.

ΣŎP̅'P̅ØÇŌК̅ÖЯ̄ŌÇ or
Σŏp̄'p̄øçōк̄öя̄ōç
Σŏp̄'p̄øçōк̄öя̄ōç is a term used by Garden of Life for the Body of Guardians within a Tradition, a Guardian School, both in the archaic sense of an assembly of Officiant Guardians and in the more modern sense of a School for younger or newer Guardians, the term may also be applied to any specific lands and/or buildings primarily used for those purposes. The Name is a phonetically constructed Institution Name based on the Archaic Greek root words: Σκοπός meaning one who Watches, is an alert sentinel and/or Spiritual Watching Energy; and χῶρος meaning Country or clearly defined space for. In Temple context, a specifically designated space for the study and learning associated with Processing of the Outflowing Radiant Mægikal Energies that are usually referred to as the Watcher Energies; and the Body of Persons, attached to or Werking from or through that place.

SENDING (when considered as a Sacrament)
Garden of Life considers Sending Energy a Pagan Sacrament. In a preliminary description Sending Energy may be an Act and/or Process performed by all Celebrants for the effect of directing and propelling the Built up Physical, Mental and Spiritual Energies at one or more specific Stated Goals. At a Celebratory Werking this process is ordinarily led by one or more Officiants, proficient in Werking with the Emanating Energies. For example: when a Priest takes up a Bow after a Building Dance and fires an Arrow (in a Symbolically ascertained Direction) to Direct and Propel the Energy to the Stated Goals of the Celebratory Werking, while making silent or verbal Affirmations along with various Symbolic Gestures Sacred to a Tradition. Declaration, Signalization, Piloting, Canalization, Affirmation, Breath, Quieting of the Senses, and Visualization are some of the Forms this Sending Energy may take.
Below please find the wording that Garden of Life uses in it's Articles of Organization to delineate this Sacrament:

Specific Werking Officiants
As posted on the Category Component Characteristics page for Types of Officiants in the Rose Recension Correspondences Codex, and elsewhere on the Garden of Life website: there is a broad range of Officiant vocations available within general Pagan context and specifically within particular Traditions. And certainly there is great overlap possible among the different types of Officiants. Upon occasion, some Traditions may find it desirable and efficacious to train and encourage some Officiants to specialize in particular types of Officiation. Often these Officiant roles may only pertain to specific types of Werkings, such as varieties of Initiation Werkings, arrays of Rite of Passage Werkings, different types of Officiant Ordinations, Joining Recognition ceremonies, and so forth.

SWAN SONG (when considered as a Sacrament)
Garden of Life considers Swan Song a Pagan Sacrament. In a preliminary description Swan Song may be an Act and/or Process performed by and for a Celebrant, which ordinarily consists of a pre-enactment of the Celebrant's desired Memorial Service which is intended to be held after the death of Her/His current physical body. Such Act may be scheduled at the Celebrant's desire, however, it should not be held until there is a reasonable expectation that She/He is near the end of Her/His current incarnation cycle. It should ordinarily be done only once for each Celebrant, and should be as accurate a portrayal as possible.

Special Note: Garden of Life uses a large number of specially purposed English words, often spelled slightly differently than regular, to make their more specific meaning more apparent. We also use a large number of neologisms, specifically constructed for Temple use. All of this type of terminology is defined in several places on the website, here in the Articles of Organization glossary, in the Garden of Life website Definitions pages, and such. If you are viewing this page in a browser which doesn't support full current Unicode coding (such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer - though version 8 is almost there) or if you haven't installed current free Unicode fonts, such as Code2000, many of the phonetic characters, diacritical marks, and symbols in these pages will not show up or will show up as boxes. We welcome all feedback, though as an entirely volunteer supported website, we do not guarantee to process it within any time frame or for other than for ascertainable accuracy and usefulness. Thanks.
