T̅æᴌäñt̄ŏn̄ (nomenclature vulgaris: Libra)
T̅æᴌäñt̄ŏn̄ is the name used in Garden of Life Astrological Terminology for the Astrological Sign on the Ecliptic in the Zodiac in reference from our local star system), referred to as "Libra" in the Western mainstream vernacular. Though this does not indicate where the Constellation from which it takes it's name is currently on the Ecliptic, since Signs in Tropical Astrology are determined in sections from where the Vernal Equinox occurs against the Ecliptic rather than by the Constellation's current position. These names may help to make the separation of the two concepts seem more intuitive. Garden of Life uses either terms from the earlier Ægean languages or words constructed from root words in those languages for all components of the Cosmos, or at least for those of the local Universe; partially due to a feeling that the earlier terms represent a more exact and purer resonance with the named object, force, and/or field, than the Latinate term commonly used (theory of deterioration of quality in a copy of a copy of a copy, etc.); and partially because, though we sometimes use, within the Temple, terms for these components derived from Ægyptian culture, and in some cases Sanatana Dharma and Sanskrit, and/or other ancient sources, those seemed a bit "over the top" for daily use (but we never can tell). Also there was a desire to rebalance the Feminine and Masculine Energies in the naming of the Planets and other components of the local star system.

T̅êℓ'ᴌēōñ
T̅êℓ'ᴌēōñ is a phonetically constructed word based on a Greek root word meaning Adult used within the context of the Temple to refer to full Adulthood prior to the peak years (a rough approximation may be about 18 years old). Though the timeline is certainly not fixed, about the eighteenth year or so the person is considered to have entered full Adulthood. Certainly more rights and responsibilities are acknowledged.

T̅êℓ'ᴌēōñ Passage
Garden of Life considers Werks acknowledging and/or commemorating Passages from one stage of a lifecycle to the next as Pagan Sacraments. The timing of such Celebrations are not determined solely by physical ages but by the Individuals actual attainment of that stage. The T̅êℓ'ᴌēōñ passage and/or the ~18th Year Perfectioning - Full Adulthood Initiation. The Individual being intitiated would have had a fair amount of personal control over the Ēf̅ēв̄ Passage or ~15th year Perfectioning, including of course choosing to have it done at all; however with this T̅êℓ'ᴌēōñ Rite of Passage and/or Perfectioning, should they choose to have it Celebrated, they come into a situation where they are able to make all the decisions (within the constraints of what they are personally able to bring off, and/or achieve cooperation from others to do toward this Circle) as to "where", "when", and "how", choosing themes and selecting and/or creating forms and techniques to be used in the Celebration and Initiation. If it is done as a full adulthood Perfectioning, then the Individual is again dedicated to their Ultimate Potential Perfection, whatever that might be.

T̅êℓēōṡṭēŭç (nomenclature vulgaris: Pisces)
T̅êℓēōṡṭēŭç is the name used in Garden of Life Astrological Terminology for the Astrological Sign on the Ecliptic in the Zodiac in reference from our local star system), referred to as "Pisces" in the Western mainstream vernacular. T̅'ʜ̇ēк̣ñōñ
T̅'ʜ̇ēк̣ñōñ is a phonetically constructed word based on a Greek root word meaning Child used within the context of the Temple to refer to Sentients within the first few years of school age.

T̅'ʜ̇ēк̣ñōñ
Garden of Life considers Werks acknowledging and/or commemorating Passages from one stage of a lifecycle to the next as Pagan Sacraments. The timing of such Celebrations are not determined solely by physical ages but by the Individuals actual attainment of that stage. T̅'ʜ̇ēк̣ñōñ passage and/or the ~6th Year Perfectioning - Social Initiation. The child is or has entered school, and/or began some sort of societal learning process. They are also generally beginning to have important interactions outside the immediate family and friends group. This is a good time to let them be active in the Circle. They are the spring virgins and may run around the circle laughing and yelling-clearing the circle. The child is again dedicated to their Ultimate Potential Perfection, whatever that might be. Then they may if they wish, begin an apprenticeship and receive training, by helping with any part of the Circle process that attracts their attention, hopefully under the guidance of one or more of the adult Officiants (preferably from among the ones that are most familiar with that part of the process). In addition to promoting their general social development, within the context of the consensus reality; in this way, the child is introduced to, and encouraged to utilize their new social skills within the social aspects of the Circle.

T̅'ƙṇ'ʀ̄äm̃'ñǫ
T̅'ƙṇ'ʀ̄äm̃'ñǫ is a phonetically constructed name for the Body of Officiants who express their Talents, Gifts and Persuasions, and Trained Expressions through playing musical instruments, both in general and at Garden of Life Celebrations, Circles, and Werkings of all types. The T̅'ƙṇ'ʀ̄äm̃'ñǫ is composed of Officiants who either for a specific Werking, or as their preferred usual mode of Officiation play musical instruments within the context of the Werking, with the intent of enriching and deepening the experiential effects upon themselves and the other Celebrants. A special case, perhaps to the point of being a separate category are the Drummers, who reflect the HeartBeat of the EarthMother Drummers Officiate in Werkings through the act of drumming, which in and of itself heightens the level of interaction with the incorporeal forces, particularly the Earth energies.

Special Note: Garden of Life uses a large number of specially purposed English words, often spelled slightly differently than regular, to make their more specific meaning more apparent. We also use a large number of neologisms, specifically constructed for Temple use. All of this type of terminology is defined in several places on the website, here in the Articles of Organization glossary, in the Garden of Life website Definitions pages, and such. If you are viewing this page in a browser which doesn't support full current Unicode coding (such as Microsoft's Internet Explorer - though version 8 is almost there) or if you haven't installed current free Unicode fonts, such as Code2000, many of the phonetic characters, diacritical marks, and symbols in these pages will not show up or will show up as boxes. We welcome all feedback, though as an entirely volunteer supported website, we do not guarantee to process it within any time frame or for other than for ascertainable accuracy and usefulness. Thanks.
