MEMBERSHIP
Any Individual, legally responsible for themselves, with a sincere desire to further the Objects and Purposes of Garden of Life as set forth in these Formalization/Founding Documents, may put in a Claim to Membership. Membership shall be determined by the Individual desiring to claim Membership, so stating in a written document (Claim to Membership), in the Individual's own words, with five witnesses. Such statement to: include that She/He considers Her/Himself to be a Garden of Life Member; restate the Temple Creed and the extent to which She/He concurs; acknowledge the Individual's willingness to, and the sincerity of Her/His desire to further the aims of the Garden of Life Temple; state the date from which the Individual has considered Her/Himself to be a member of the Garden of Life Temple; and indicate the Individual's desire to participate in the Garden of Life Temple activities, extant and proposed.
DIRECTING BODY
Spiritual and Temporal Leadership of the Garden of Life Temple and/or Organization shall be provided by the Garden of Life Council of Elder Officiants. The Policies and Actions of Garden of Life shall be determined by the Council of Elder Officiants, which shall sit in concatenative assembly as Directing Body of the Temple / Board of Directors of the Organization(Corporate Trustees once Garden of Life is Incorporated) to determine the Actions and Policies contemporaneously of the Temple and Organization (Corporation once Garden of Life is Incorporated). The Garden of Life Council of Elder Officiants' voting membership (Sitting Members) shall consist of no less than Seven, and no more than Twenty-Three Elder Officiants, elected by the Currently Active Membership, from among the eligible Officiants, in order to provide a balanced leadership for the Temple.
