Dear Erika, We feel your pain. All of us who, sadly are also not D'abo. I can't speak for the one of us who actually is D'abo, you'd have to call her up and inquire. Thank you for the kind words. We'd love to see you again someday, perhaps you can float through our arena on one of our Circle times. Stay in touch. Love and Chaos, Michael

Not that anyone cares, or even remembers, but a suitable pennance has been found. Anyone who ever wanted to see me suffer should know that i've been thouroughly hoisted on my own petard. The nihilistic narcissism of others has finaly, fatally, pierced the shield of my own deeply self-centered defense mechanisms. After a long night of nightmares i find myself tracking back to anyplace i've ever found any amount of self-worth. Something pulls toward this place, and though i know it is extremely unlikely that anyone who has ever known me will read this, i find some comfort in the memories inspired. At the end of my rope i find even the least likely of comforts to be worth the trouble, and i hope i have not bothered anyone overmuch by coming here to remember... As always, i've gotten in over my head and this time it's going to take me under. I tried to pick a fight big enough to pay for my mistakes all at once, i just never imagined i could feel so bad about myself, not in so many ways at the same time. Well, enough guestblogging i guess. I've sufficiently purged myself of myself enough to get back to the good fight. Again, i apologize for the imposition, but i promise i'm using the energy i get from odd little things like this to correct an instance of a massive social injustice, so i hope i can be forgiven. If any of this creates any desire to assist, light a candle for people who hurt others terribly because they were hurt terribly as children. Their transmissions of pain may be dangerous or even damaging, but they're not malicious, and by accepting this pain without magnifying or returning it we can all be free of it. M

Hi, thanks for putting Virtuism in your directory. If you do a search on Virtuism, you'll see the name R.S. Pearson keeps coming up. That's me. I just published a book on it which I'll e-mail you a digital copy if you like. best regards, Robert BTW: the definition is a philosophy that states that acts of virtue produce the aesthetic experience which is a proof in the benevolent meaning of life.

Study War No More What lesson can be applied?
When imperialist troops crash down upon a people's pride?
When might as right meets the instinct to survive?
When Midas greed lashes out to destroy?
We've been here before, o my brethren, o my children --
repeating the fouled lessons poured into our thirsty minds,
pushing back the horror before our eyes with blinding rage
forged into weapons by mortal foes
who hide in plain sight.
The only thing I know --
The lesson repeating agony in all our souls,
Haunted by the pleading eyes and bloody hearts
Of the slaughtered sacrifices to malignant gods --
There is something vital here to learn.

New American Anthem

After Shock and Awe
It's a transitional time
Of untidiness

We bombed in Baghdad
Now we have no idea how
To clean up this mess

Forget peace on Earth
Let the common folk suffer
And not have a say

Since god is with us
Against the rest of the world
We'll just have to pray

We are editing this entry for length and coherence: in the original entry here posted, there was much quoting from the Garden of Life Sacraments List (obviously anyone interested in reading them, can go there from the main site) and several repetitive comments that whoever made the entry thinks that Annointment means "slippery sex"  (it's unclear whether they think that would be a "good" thing and/or a "bad" thing) and other somewhat difficult to decipher comments that seem to indicate that they think we are, like, well, too wordy and/or pedantic (Momma do luv dem complex and convoluted senti, it am wicked I knows, but I jus don care). The entry began with some other complaints about uses of the word: Jocularist, one assumes they ran into that at another site (I don't think we used it in our WordPlay section, but that can be rectified), although we would like to give it our vote to be a "real" (read that as in the OED)  word. If anyone wants to see the original entry email the webmaster@gardenoflifetemple.com but really that's about all there was to it.

This morning, here in Japan, I happened to find this site through "Google" com search engine. I'm feeling happy that I come to know some other person, on this side of the world, having the same sort of will and spirits of endeavour to promote Spiritual World's importance under the same name "Garden of Life". Kindly note however, my Japanese site is still on the way to set up the details. In the near future, I'll be completing the contents. In the meantime, if at all possible, and if you find time to visit my site, I'm happy and thankful to your visit. I'll come back to this site again, in the near future. Thank you so much for your having "Garden of Life" site. Yours sincerely, Kenji Hashimoto March 8, 2001
